Merle Taylor
Merle has extensive experience as a business consultant working on a range of projects involving business issues, organizational issues, strategic planning, and project management. Prior to entering the consulting field, Merle was employed by Alberta Treasury, working in increasingly responsible senior and executive positions in the Budget Bureau and the Office of the Controller. She was Director of Financial Control Standards in Alberta Treasury and was responsible for establishing government-wide financial control policies and for managing a government-wide internal audit function. Since 1982 she has had a successful consulting practice serving clients in the public and not for profit sector.
Merle Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Economics and is a Certified Management Accountant. In addition to her work as a management consultant, Merle is the Government’s Consumer Representative on the Alberta Automobile Insurance Rate Board.
She has served on the following not for profit and government boards:
